J.P.'s Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I am not against the idea of a pulp mill, as i feel that the need for paper products are too great. I disagree with the proposal to use native forests, when a thriving tree farm industry is available. The amount of tree farms in WA alone is staggering, and to value-add this product seems an ideal thing to do. But being the sceptic that I am, I know that Gunns have completed the economics of the situation and found it is cheaper to use native forests.
deadwood's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Disagree with the process used, ask all Tasmanians if they want this and I think the overwhelming answer you get will be NO
We're running on empty's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I just don't understand why the government with an eco tourist industry in Tasmania is not pushing that barrow instead of being willing to destroy the environment for a pulp mill. Sadly, I expect never to visit Tasmania again once the pulp is built. If there are still opportunities to stop it - let's grasp them!
F's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: My generation is the one that's going to be living the consequences of the decisions made today - the consequences of the mill going ahead are what makes the project so incredibly unjustifiable.
MOJO 's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please consider the effects on our pristine environment. I dont want my grandchildren to die from pollution. I want them to enjoy Tasmania‘s untouched wilderness.

Melanie4's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: There is nothing quite so empowering as the luxury of choice. But with that ability to choose comes a responsibility to exercise the privilege with due regard to its potential consequences, taking into account what one knows and can predict in the here and now. What we know is that this world is the most precious thing we have, and that our smallest actions affect its well-being and ultimately our own. Therefore tread lightly. Invest wisely. Support projects and technology that preserve the Earth and all of its wonders, paving a path that is sustainable in the future. There are few places left on this planet that have not been scarred by human presence. Here is a chance to protect one of them.
