Annie14's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I currently have an ANZ account both savings and credit card accounts. But there will be no hesitation to close my accounts if they fund the pulp mill. I don't think they will ever get to fund it though - because we will never let the proposed mill come to fruition. The Tamar valley must remain as it is - natural beauty and ever important native forest that urgently needs to remain protected.

Beng2's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: We need as many people as possible supporting this worthy cause
Rhys's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Development for development's sake is just unjustifiable and greedy. I support projects that are clean, green and consistent with sustainable ecology principals.
Charlie5's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I will be extremely disapointed with ANZ if they fund this mill. My wife and i wont stay with a bank that supports bad industry. I am very worried about how hungry this tree chewing beast will be for the years to come.
Amps's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill:
How sick the irony of Midnight Oil's "Pictures" video clip; a damning attack on rainforest destruction for commerical gain. I hope Mister Garrett's conscience will tap him on the shoulder very soon.

horts's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please consider our childrens' quality of life!
Ruben L's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: G'day Peter,
We all know how hard it must be for you to go back on the principals that you have told us you have lived by all your life.
Or tell us was it all just an act to get to where you are now.
You should talk to you collegues to take all the Telemarketing jobs away from India and into Tasmania, then we would not need the pulpmill for the jobs because you would be creating jobs for the locals.
My message to you is simple, when you had the opportunity to really make a change you took the easy way out.
We are dissapointed but still fighting.
Ruben
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Apart from the disadvantages surrounding the mill, my concern is that proceeding with the mill project is another step towards making Tasmania a forestry state. Many communities in the north of the state have died or are dying because of the proliferation of forestry. If the mill proceeds, the rate of social and infrastructural dismantling will accelerate and be entrenched for the forseeable future. Don't destroy Tasmania.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: we really need to wake up to what is going on. That includes anz
yipster's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please don't let this pulp mill destroy the beauty of tasmania's wilderness
Tark's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: This is disgusting, old style greed and ignorance when the world should know better by now. Shame on Tasmania's politicians for this.
lee5's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I do not believe the proposed pulp mill is in the best LONG TERM interests of Tasmanians, or Australians in general in relation to employment or sustainability. The Gunns company has a history of treating workers and contractors badly and exploiting our resources for the short term profit, while other countries gain the longer term benefits (manufacturing employment, saving of their own forests etc)
LEW's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I will continue to express my opposition to this pulp mill which I believe has been "fast tracked" in the most appalling fashion. I have conveyed to ANZ that pending its decision on the mill, all accounts which I hold with them will be closed. I sincerely hope that they and the Minister take my concerns into account.
bunny1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: For my children, your children and all future generations think very carefully this can in no way be good for uor precious enviroment.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: What Women Want Australia Party still stands behind its decision not to support the Pulp Mill in any way, shape or form.
JB10's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Let's invest in the development of sustainable industries that offer environmental care and ongoing employment prospects. The short-term thinking of pulp mill supporters needs to become a thing of the past.
David Green's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: A project of this scale will have devastating economic consequences for the fisheries and tourism of and beyond the region. Biodiversity will be severly compromised due to the required logging of forests. I will never invest with ANZ or Perpetual if the project proceeds.

Minister Garrett, as a previous supporter of your work with the ACF and political activism with Midnight Oil, I am deeply embarrassed and ashamed of your recent personal approval to clear the site for the project.
joseann's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please stop harvesting old growth forests-we need MORE trees, not less to cool the global warming, and more natural habitat to maintain the biodiversity that is essential to the health of this planet.
Having large bank balances is useless when the planet is SO polluted that we can no longer survive here. Extreme weather events are now showing us that we are contributing to an imbalance in our climate; further pollution from a pulp mill, will not only add to this imbalance but will also devalue Tasmania as a 'Green' tourist destination. I have run a tourist company for people with disabilities down there so I know this to be true.
Think long term please, not just for short term financial gain.
lavendarlady's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Peter Garrett - how could you support such an environmental disaster!
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Should ANZ continue it's involvement in this proposal, I would be transfering all personal funds to an alternative bank. I would urge all friends and associates to do the same.
