Joonz's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: This pulp mill is a disaster waiting to happen, and how disappointing are you Peter Garrett????? What a no brainer you've turned out to be - how can you live with yourself when you've sold your principals down the drain for a spot in Parliament.
Shame on you all Garrett, ANZ and Perpetual - we will all remember!
expat's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I am currently living in a country where greed and short-term gain have done terrible things to the invironment. Have a vision for the treasure that Tasmania is and stop the pulp mill before it is too late!!

jennywren1983's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I believe that all companies have a responsibility to act both for the common good as well as their own good.

While I don't currently have any money invested with either ANZ or Perpetual, I will not even consider them in the future if they choose to allow the pulp-mill to go ahead.

To ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Garrett: please do everything you can to stop this pulp-mill from going ahead. Help Australia's future by encouraging "greener" alternatives. Thankyou! Jenny
Jenny-Robyn's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I have no affiliation with the Lennon government in particular with regards to the proposed Gunn`s Pulp Mill. So pathetic that few resources, humans and animals are protected and cherished in the natural world. Why doesn`t Tasmania have a paper recycling plant? Why is there no educated message from the government to reduce our waste of paper?
Otherwise, it`s a sorry state to leave a beautiful State, due to an horrendous
amount of insensitivity and lack of intellectual application in political leadership.

Sincerely,
Genevieve Lloyd
P.D.'s Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Dear Mr Garrett,

I urge you, as our spokesperson for a party whose philosophies I used to think were at least loosely aligned with mine, to stand up and be counted on this issue. The day I heard Labour say that they supported this, and that they would not reverse their decision if voted in, was a day I felt betrayed. Do what you must know in your heart is right - stop this outrage. There can be no justifiable reason for going ahead with this, now or anytime in the future, other than the financial interests of a few, in the face of the opposition of many. It is your duty as Minister for the Environment, as a politician in a party purporting to be for the future, as a man who knows the facts, as a father of children who need a future they can believe in, and as a human being and custodian of our planet. Wake up!
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: i have recently sold my house in legana because i do not want to be near anything that may impact on my health!!!how about putting it in mr gays backyard!!!!!not mine
Karizma's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Recently my family watched the DVD on Gunns pulp mill and we cried at the loss of those beautiful trees and my children were devastated at the burning of the waste and the poisoning of the animals. How can we stand back and let this happen? And for what? When we will start paying attention to People & Planet NOT Power & Profit. Leave our children some of the beauty of nature to look forward to.
tamarvalleyres's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: preserve the valley for the next generation
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Peter Garrett is the biggest let down of any person in my life. Australians remember Paul Keating for ruining the economy, Garrett will be remembered for ruining Tasmania, literally, not to mention the international integrity of Australia as a green-minded, developed nation. SHAME ON YOU PETER.
Nudned's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: If we dont take action now to protect our planet, our grandchildren will not have a planet to protect.
Concerned Grandma's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Minister Garrett should check with Brent Donaldson at Gunns on their shooting & poisoning practice in plantation areas (horific!)
El2's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Don't. Just don't.
Sandra5's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Are you crazy! This is just unethical and ignores the real problems we face with the environment. It spoils a green image that effects many businesses that rely on tourism; businesses that think of other ways to make money rather than ensuring the further spoiling of a very precious asset and an ecosystem we are part of. I live in Launceston and I'm really angry with the lot of you.
simmo's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: And I thought labour wanted to stay in government for more than 1 term. allow this pulp mill to continue and you will be on the sidelines again.
kate16's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: This mill threatens Tasmania as we know and love it. Jobs are not worth killing our planet for.
