Mr Bilby's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: In this day and age of supposed corporate responsibility I am amazed that the ANZ bank is showing a blatant disregard for the environment by giving financial support to this disasterous pulp mill. shame on you!
Gunns' enemy's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: The openly corrupt way in which the Pulp Mill has been approved by the state and federal levels of Government has left myself and a good many other Australians with no faith what-so-ever in the democractic system.
The only people to benefit from this abhorent proposal are rich people seeking to become even richer at the expense of the environment and the social fabric of Tasmanian society.
Gunns Ltd have proven themselves to be untrustworthy and immoral with regard to their actions to force this development to succeed at any cost.
How, I ask you, in light of the irrefutable climate change that is already having dire consequences around the world, could you possibly support a project that is going to more than double the amount of deforestation in Tasmania, burn millions of tons of native forest to generate 'renewable' power for its operation and in doing so intensifying the carbon footprint to unprecedented levels, and then to add another injury to our already besieged environment, consume an obscene amount of fresh water every day only to fill it with dangerous chemicals and then pump it out into a sensitive marine system. And who is going to monitor the effluent? It appears the Devil himself is going to allow Gunns to be solely in charge of regulating themselves.
What legacy are we leaving to future generations by investing in such destructive development? Will they be as ashamed of the actions we take today as we are of the way our colonial forebears treated the original owners of this land and other 'new worlds'.
I implore you to use what power you possess to stop this enviromental catastrophe that will have far reaching and devastating consequences for our fragile earth.
Remember it is the only one we have so the onus is upon us to conserve it for the perpetuity.
JAB's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I am concerned at the added impetus this mill would give to the further deforestation of Tssmania - but absolutely alarmed at the apparent disregard for due and fair process leading up to the former Minister's approval of the mill project!
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: It's a damn shame when the people voice don't count. It's a damn shame when the people's home isn't respected. It's a damn shame when the dollar is lord. It's a worse fate for the next generation that are left with a mess. There may be a place for a pulp mill, but not of this size, not in this place and not by these means.

shelly662's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Invest in the future by not building the pulp mill. Place what's important before the almighty dollar. This mother earth needs each & every one of us to reverse the damage done already, and to proceed with the mill is not a step in the right direction.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Look further than greed and think of our future. If ANZ finance this environmental disaster I will be taking my loan account else where. Please listen to the Australian people.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Dear Geoff, I am sure that there are many other investment opportunites for ANZ, so you really don't have to invest in the pulp mill! Its that simple. Its not going to affect you if you don't back the mill, in fact, you probably will be worse off for supporting the developers, because of the sheer number of Australians who are against it. Maybe you don't care. But, I believe is a small part of everyone who does care. It's something that we learn from when we are young, that our natural environment is what gives us life. Personally for me, I would love to see you pull out of this deal, as it will give me and so many others hope that all is not lost, and that there are many powerful people in this world who use their power for good and the benefit of the planet.

Queen Bee's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: The Pulp Mill is bad enough, the further destruction of trees and virgin forest is sacrilege, especially because of global weather change and pollution. If ANZ decides to fund the Pulp Mill, I believe then that ANZ is a banking institution without ethics. I was considering investing with ANZ, but have now decided against it.
ld2's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I currently bank with ANZ and will be changing my financial institution if they (ANZ) decide to fund the pulp mill.

Investing in the activities that impact negatively in the environment and or create excessive greenhouse gas emissions and your investments will come back to bite you in terms of class actions, shareholder actions, problems getting insured, duty of care, bad reputation, loss of customers etc.
