EJW's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Dear Sir,
Please encourage Gunns to adopt policies that will protect Tasmania's environment and community. This plays a very important part in Tasmania's delicate ecosystem. Many plant, animal, and bird species (including endangered ones) will be effected drastically by a pulp mill, regardless of any standards put in place to ensure this doesn't happen. I have seen this happen in other places around the world and know what really happens. Please stand strong against this mill to protect our beautiful wilderness.
calvin's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: The ANK bank and Investment management company Perpetual need to be accountable for the business decisions that cause irreparable environmental damage, destruction of eco systems and peoples livelihoods. I will spread the word to everyone i can about ANZ and Perpetuals support of the Gunns pulp mill and its destruction of Tasmanias pristine environment.
EARTH MOTHER 1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Dear Mr. Garret
Maximum dioxin limits set by Mr. Turnbull are three times less stringent than world,s best practice & Cief Scientist Jim Peacock confirmed that Gunns had been allowed a maximum dioxin limit well above levels produced by other mills overseas .A hydrodynamic study to predict what would happen to the 64,000tonnes of effluent that will be released into Bass Strait will not be ready for 12 months . How can you justify approving this pulp mill ?
Andrew30's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I believe Gunns are enviromental vandals of the first order and I will never purchase, promote or recommend any wines from their associated companies. I am a fine wine manager for Dan Murphys who now control 75 major liquor outlets throughout Australia.

Jilly8's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I saw the full page ad in the Australian about saving our beautiful forests from greedy polluting corporations & the politicians that allow it,& I must do something about it.Never bank with ANZ or invest with Perpetual for a start.Thank you for enlightening me.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: If the ANZ continue to fund projects which destroy the planet I will not be banking with them anymore. We all have a moral responsibility to protect the planet and there are many ways to do it. Investing peoples money in a project that will destroy Tasmanias old growth forests in order to make money for shareholders is not one of them!
Trekkertom's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: It will soon be too late to save these rare and special places and once destroyed they will be gone forever.
Duncan's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please stop this insanity...we know the science, we know the economics...don't let Gunns bully our politicians into signing away our natural heritage
Samira's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Dear Minister Garrett, ANZ and Perpertual,

How can you (help) destroy something as beautiful as an old growth forest and make it into pulp that becomes paper that people throw away? Please don't be so ignorant, just show some common sense.
Rusty7's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: The environmental degradation that will be caused by the Proposed Gunns pulp mill far outweighs any benefit that will be gained by employing a few people within the mill.

There is likely to be considerable loss of income and employment as a by product of the mill due to negative effects on Tasmanian tourism, wine growing and fisheries.

The cost in health care may also be substantial for the residents and for health facilities in the Tamar Valley and surrounding areas.

I do not want to watch big business and wealthy shareholders increase their incomes at the expense of small business and individuals.

And as someone who was born in Tasmania I find it heartbreaking to watch the destruction of the Island's rare and beautiful forests and animals.
nikki3's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I considered investing in perpetual this year but they do not have an ethical investment opportunity, so i took my money elsewhere, this reinforces that decision.
