Brendan's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please stop the pulp mill! This pulp mill will be devastating for the local environment, and simply encourage more logging of Tasmanian forests. This is the last thing we need when we are trying to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Thank you,
Brendan Pitt.

I have funds invested in perpetual that I will pull out if perpetual fund this project. I also voted labor in the also election, which I will not have to consider voting green in the next election if this project goes ahead.

Walter's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: If not us then who?
If not here then where?
If not now then when?

If we keep on destroying native forests and destabilizing the atmosphere it'll soon be too late - and those questions will be irrelevant. But we can make wise decisions, here, and now - let's do that!
WendyLee's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: The pulp mill is of great concern for me and my family. I am extrememly worried about the environmental effects this mill will have on the Tamar Valley.
tosca1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please do not finance anything that there is the slightest doubt about. This mill is not going to be good to Tasmania - the pure unspoilt wild area will be that no longer and there is no turning back then.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: We are looking to you, Minister Peter Garrett, to be the voice of conservation and the environment in the ALP. Speak up! Tell your party and Australia what you really think!
234 hello's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I thought Peter Garrett had an environmental conscience. If some remnant is still hanging around then we had it should be expressed as action to stop the pulp mill. If he continues to remain silent one can only put him in the same basket as all politicians who pay lip service to the difficult environmental issues and pretend to be showing some interest by telling us to use energy efficient light bulbs !! Will we ever have a minister who will not sweep the deforestation crisis under the carpet ?? Shame on you Peter . We thought you were genuine about your committment to the environment. As for Mr Rudd, he has avoided the issue and preferred to talk drivel on environmental issues.
Miguel's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I've been with ANZ over 20 years. I will seriously consider changing banks if you support this crude short sighted venture at the expense of our natural heritage.
bec12's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Tasmania is too beautiful to ruin, people who put money before the environment don't deserve to exist, i hope mother nature wipes them off the face of the earth.
Ceals's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Deforestation needs to stop worldwide - it is hard enough to ask developing countries not to clear land when we in a first world country continue this practice. Climate change will bot be halted unless countries like Australian protect their old forests.
annie13's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: It is critical that it be stopped. Destruction to native forests and marine life will be catastrophic and will continue for the life of the mill. The gains do not justify the costs in any way.
loki2's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: stop giving into international companies grow a backbone
Art1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: The survival of life & diversity is precious and vital, making some miserable dollars out of this project is now utterly unacceptable
Dodson's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Make the hard decision and choose to work to build a future and economy rather than taking the easy road and mauling the environment. If no-one had suggested the mill in the first place then the community would have continued to exist, so surely it will continue without it.
Juliet's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: If the pulp mill goes ahead, we will be withdrawing and closing all of our accounts with the the sole financier ANZ in the future.
Dylan2's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I am appauled, shocked and saddened by the proposal of a pulp mill in Tasmania. In a time of concern for keeping carbon out of the atmosphere, it seems idiodic to me that Tasmania's native forests are being logged at a rate of 44 football fields per day. With the global rate of species extinction being 10,000 per year, I believe that it is crucial to preserve what is left. I wish to inform you that if the government does not take action to stop the pulp mill, it will not be getting my support in future elections. Furthermore, if it is financed by ANZ and Perpetual, I will be sure not to do any business with these companies, and let as many people know about what they are financing as possible. I hope you appreciate my concern, and am looking forward to your action in stopping the pulp mill from going ahead.
protest and survive's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: This pulp mill is triple bottom line suicide for Tasmania and I implore those with a duty to require responsibility in investment to use their influence to halt this proposed insanity. It is incomprehensible, given what we know, that this pulp mill is being considerd and we will answer for it to our descendants in shame. We can do better than this.
