Freddy4's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Lets stop this madness, I have looked after the Treasury level 14 530 collins and I find this just utterly appalling. - Guys in the treasury are nice - but why do this to our country?
A birdwatchers pledge's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: If I find out it is confirmed that Perpetual are funding this obscene pulp mill, which will destroy Tasmania’s beautiful natural environment and contribute to global warming, I will immediately withdraw my superannuation funds from Perpetual and seek a better alternative.
Foonywah's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I grew up in the Tamar Valley and while I've since left my parents remain. They rely on the Tourist dollar as they run an art gallery and cellar door. That part of Tasmania is one of the most beautiful and I enjoy returning as much as possible. I'm worried that the beauty I (and the tourists that visit the area) enjoy will be distroyed when the pulp mill is built. I don't trust Gunns to keep their word!
MaRyJaNe's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Our earth is living, the oil is her blood and the TREES are
the oxygen in the blood. The more we want the more we take, it looks like to me that we are the earth's "CANCER"
JF3's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: We must stop ALL forest destruction. There's no point telling other countries to halt logging if we won't do it ourselves. I am about to take a home loan with ANZ, and I will go to Wespac instead if ANZ support this calamity in waiting.
Anyway, what's with ANZ's 'green' credentials if they're supporting this kind of project? Get with it, ANZ - nobody wants this mill.
ray2's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: A "pulp mill"...... who is it _really_ for !!!.... Is the 'price' paid _really_ worth it !!..... Maintenance of our planet is _beyond_ such price!! _NO_ pulp mill---- !!!!

skye1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Stop the Pulp Mill Please for the sake of clean air!
Possum22's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: As a long-time ANZ shareholder, I am disgusted that ANZ Ltd., which purports to support environmentally-friendly investments is contemplating financing Gunns' pulp mill. Environmental damage extends far beyond the emission of toxic chemicals into the marine environment. The destruction of old growth forests places many species at risk of extinction, increases greenhouse gas emissions through logging, and through the pulp mill operations itself. The social impacts on local communities are also negative. Tasmania will lose its 'clean-green' image so who will want to buy Tasmanian food or visit there. Instead, Tasmania will have a reputation for environmental vandalism. Minister Garrett has the power under the EPBC Act to consider "all adverse impacts" (see Nathan Dams cases, eg Queensland Conservation Council Inc v Minister for the Environment and Heritage [2003] FCA, at 39. This conclusion was supported by other cases which also recommended a wide consideration of impacts, at 26, 28, 29, 30, 31. effects). Such adverse impacts could include greenhouse gas emissions, loss of biodiversity as well as negative impacts on marine ecosystems. regards Jane
dmc1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Dear Geoff

I have sent a letter and an email to Mr Smith from the ANZ and have expressed my dismay at the possibility of them financially supporting this morally corrupt project. I fought when Gray tried to dam the "leach ridden ditch" and have done so at every time where the government of the day has decided to treat this beautiful state, it's people and its natural wealth with contempt...and I will continue to do so.
Count me in

Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Living in Tasmania, I know that nearly everybody is against the pulpmill. I know for a fact the everybody says they will not vote for the state labour government again because of the actions of Paul Lennon, he has just ignorned the people of Tasmania to cater for his friends in Gunns.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I will not be a part of any financial institution that favours short term monetary gain over long term environmental gain.

JohnGlenHoun's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I oppose the Pulp Mill in the Tamar Valley and the tainted assessment process that has been pushed through by Paul Lennon. I do not oppose a Pulp Mill in Tasmania in another more appropriate area of the state, provided it goes through a proper assessment process that fully considers and prevents any negative impact on our beautiful island state.
