Mumbles's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: The majority of Australians do not support this Pulp mill under the present guidelines and with the problems of Climate Change and Environmental degradation of our Planet our bigest challenge for the future, This proposal is irresponsilble to say the least
Andrew1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: You have a chance to send a powerful message that this Mill is wrong and that banks aren't uncaring corporations putting profit before people
inari's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I operate a walking tour company and we have 3 tours to Tassie in 2008 focusing on the forests, coastlines and communities of the north & east coast. What could be a leading edge, sustainable travel destination is being sold out for profits and politics. I don't think the state & local governments realise what a crucial issue this is in the coming elections. By the way, we used to have business credit cards with ANZ but have moved all our accounts to Westpac as their environmental policies make a lot more sense.
leeham1's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: Please consider Tasmania's future - don't condemn our beautiful island state to twenty more years in the dark ages of fat cat businessmen and self-serving premiers. We have the potential to be innovative, and lead the world in environmental tourism. We can't do this with an eyesore of a mill in our North.
Anonymous's Pledge to ANZ, Perpetual and Minister Turnbull about the pulp mill: I have been a customer of ANZ for 20 years. I am personally distressed at the way some banks behave these days. I will remove my savings from the ANZ and seek a more environmentally responsible institution to invest in. The fact is, it is my money they are giving to these bad developments. I am not the minister. I am not an environmental campaigning organisation, but I am a citizen and my anger needs to be heard in the only way the banks seem to respect.
